Yesterday we were able to witness three outstanding game seven NHL contests and today we have two more game seven NHL matchups and two game seven NBA contests. The games were great fun to watch and we expect Sunday to be more of the same!
I went 1-2-0 with the NHL Saturday plays but thankfully Tony C shot over a winning WNBA game for a winning night.
Professional sports bettor Tony C and I have partnered with a new venture called Line Grinders. Tony will be providing bets via Betstamp and I will be capping some games in a daily sports betting column. We’ll also be dropping some knowledge with a Line Grinders podcast. Tony is a feared sports bettor and someone you’ll want to listen to. Subscribe on Anchor and never miss an episode.
Tony has a Slack Chat where he answers questions, drops picks and chats sports. Use the contact form at the bottom of this post and we’ll send you a free invitation!
Tony took Saturday off other than the WNBA pick but does have two Sunday MLB plays you can get at Betstamp. He might add a couple of more and to avoid missing out you need to subscribe to the Slack channel as well as to Betsamp.
Italian Open Final
We have the Italian Open final starting at 10am today featuring last year’s Roland Garros finalists Novak Djokovic and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Each of their past three matches have been on the dirt and all have gone the distance. No idea who will win today but we expect another three-set affair. Play the OVER in this one.
The NBA hasn’t been very kind to me this season but we do have a couple of Sunday game seven pairings to consider.
Milwaukee Bucks vs Boston Celtics
The number is off here and no way are the Milwaukee Bucks five-point road dogs to Boston today. In fact I wouldn’t blame you for taking Milwaukee to win this one straight up. The Bucks surely miss Khris Middleton but they still have the best player on the planet and a decent supporting cast. The C’s needed game six heroics from Jayson Tatum just to stay alive but can we honestly expect that again? Take Milwaukee +5 today.
Dallas Mavericks vs Phoenix Suns
Phoenix is 6.5 point home favorites and has won their previous three home games in this series by a 19 point margin. Why is this number so low? Chris Paul hasn’t played well at all against Dallas but the Mavericks have Luka Doncic and a cast of role players who haven’t shown up against the Suns in Phoenix. Doncic might be the hero but his supporting cast won’t help him on the offensive end tonight. Take Phoenix -6.5 in a rout.
Pittsburgh Penguins vs New York Rangers
The Pens should’ve finished off the Blue Shirts but here we are with a game-seven in Madison Square Garden. Rumors of a Sidney Crosby-Tristan Jarry return are swirling but the momentum is clearly with New York. With the exception of game one’s triple overtime thriller, the past five games have been decided by at least two goals or more. Look for that trend to continue tonight. Take the Rangers on the puck line!
Dallas Stars vs Calgary Flames
I’ll be numb after the Rangers win and will hopefully be fast asleep by the time they sing Oh Canada. None of the contests in this series have been close and with Calgary being such a huge home favorite, the value is certainly on the puck line as the juice on the totals is too steep a price to pay. That being said I can’t blame anyone for laying the -200 and just taking the much better Flames to win this one outright. Take Calgary -200 in this one.
